ROHOSUITE / ANANSIBUILD

Revit → 3MF, with the parts that survive the slicer.

A native Revit add-in that turns 3D views into print-ready 3MF — with live preview, horizontal slicing, and Bambu Studio metadata baked in.

v1.0 Free 24 categories 26 printers 19 scales

Most Revit-to-3D-print plugins dump unfiltered geometry through STL and call it a day. AnansiBuild does the work that comes after: clipping the section box for real, slicing models into named pieces that survive Bambu Studio's import, mapping Revit categories to AMS slots so multi-color prints come out the way you'd draw them, and showing you the result in a live preview before a single byte hits disk.

DEMO

AnansiBuild in action.

WHAT IT DOES

Eight things that take it past STL.

01

Live 3D preview

See exactly what exports. Orbit, toggle categories, change the scale — without leaving the dialog.

02

Horizontal slicing

Slice models into floor-by-floor pieces sized for your bed. An explode slider lifts pieces apart in the preview so you can inspect the assembly before exporting.

03

Per-piece naming

Bambu Studio's parts list reads Ground Floor, Floor 2, Floor 3 — not Building_2.

04

Category color mapping

24 architectural categories with sensible defaults; AMS slots assigned automatically and consistent across exports.

05

Bambu Studio metadata

model_settings.config baked in. Open the .3mf, get a project, not a mesh.

06

Family-level reassignment

Right-click any family in the category tree to reroute it. Custom planter from Furniture into Site, generic models split across multiple categories, anything.

07

Printer database

26 printers across Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, and Snapmaker. Default: Bambu Lab H2D Dual Nozzle (300 × 320 × 325 mm).

08

True section box clipping

Boolean-clipped solids, not just element filtering. Roof slabs cut where the box says they should.
